sneak peek

this week in my studio…

prepare yourselves for a mess.

a big mess.

we are moving my studio to a new space. yay!
{a big shout out of love to my hubs that goes along with my crazy ideas. ♥}
it will be amazing as soon as we complete a few minor things.
bye-bye wall paper. bye-bye old blue carpet.bye-bye closet that was just in the way. bye-bye not so pretty brown trim.

bye-bye brown window trim. bye-bye dark blue blinds.

hello endless, wonderful ideas!

as you can see… this is a serious work in progress. i hope each week to have something new…  some new progress to show.

looking forward to seeing what you have been creating this week.

ready to share? let us celebrate the process and the accomplishments. please remember we want this to be an encouraging group, it would be wonderful if you would visit the other studios.

I can relate to tearing up in order to build up. Being creative is messy! Found your site in search of Christian artists. Lovely site and very nice work! Blessings on your studio project and art making! Debbie

Do you plan to sand the floors? Or will you put carpet down again? The ceiling reminds me of a room in my SIL's house. Watch bumpin your head! =)

    • Jennifer says:

Ahhh! You lucky girl… looks like a big awesome room. I remember coming home one day with $2,000 worth of wood flooring for my hubby to install. You should have seen his face. We had no idea what we were doing, but we learned and eventually did it! Love to see your progress pictures. I'm glad to be looking at pictures and not doing it right now!

    • Jennifer says:

lol… i can just imagine his face… probably because i have seen it from my hubs. we have been learning how to do home renovation projects since we moved into our home 5 years ago. it has been fun!

  19. So excited for your "new" space Jennifer. Sorry I missed the deadline for posting this week– it's almost like missing a meeting with friends– ahhh…there's always next week! Can't wait to see your studio progress- very excited for you!!

(P.S. We're "do it your-selfer's" around here, and I could tell you some fun stories about my husband and I working together on home projects– but the bottom line is… we're still marrried, and we can still laugh about some of our escapades!) best to you!

    • Jennifer says:

i was thinking about extending the deadline through the entire weekend… giving an extra day to link up and visit. just might do that next week! lol… oh yes… these 'do it yourself' projects are good for some laughs! happy to hear you and your husband have made it through! :)
